Freebie Monday!

So, just another drab Monday until i realized that, somehow, I had missed the mail man's arrival! As I walked outside to get some fresh air, I noticed my mailbox (I have one of those old-timey ones) was overflowing with samples!

TEND SKIN

I am most excited about the Tend Skin samples because that stuff really works! I can say from personal experience. Not to mention, its like $20 for a 4 oz bottle of the Tend Skin liquid! They sent me (3) .25 fl oz bottles of the Tend Skin liquid, (2) .25 fl oz bottles of their Air Shave Gel and (1) .25 fl oz bottle of their Waterproof Moisturizing Body Lotion. So pretty much, I got at least a $7.50 value from Tend Skin today!

I have not tried the air shave gel or the waterproof moisturizing body lotion, but I have tried the Tend Skin Liquid, and it is the best bikini razor burn cure I've tried to date. I'll let you know what I think of the others after I try.

OLD WISCONSIN SNACK STICK

I got the Old Wisconsin Snack Stick sample for my partner, who loves Slim Jim's, but apparently, she is to goooooood for the Old Wisconsin brand. She explained," that's the kind you get from the gas station!." (Last I knew, you bought Slim Jim's from the gas station too, but okay dear :-D)

SKOAL BOTTLE OPENER

Got the Skoal stainless steel bottle opener today as well. Unfortunately, I have another one on the way from Marlboro, lol, so, I will put this one to good use. I'll drop it in a mini care package for my friend who is having a loooongggg visit with his family in Kansas.

JD"S BACON SALT

I was excited about the JD's Bacon Salt sample, but a bit skeptical too, considering its BACON salt, but once I checked out the package it was all good. Apparently Bacon Salt has zero fat, zero calories, low sodium, is vegetarian and kosher friendly. Now how cooooool is that? I'm so trying this on my eggs tomorrow morning.

PROPEL WITH CALCIUM PACKET

So, can't be excited about everything. The Propel packet was, well, a Propel packet. I have received 500 million and 1 drink packet samples. None of them particularly enthuse me. Tastes like chemicals if you ask me. But just in case Propel with Calcium is a winner, I'll let you know :).

RECYCLE BANK COUPON.. SORT OF

Last, and pretty much least, lol, I am kinda upset with Recyle Bank. I cashed in some of my points for the "free" Greenworks Clorox wipes, and instead, I got a coupon for free wipes when you buy another Greenworks product. What a crock! Thanks alot Recycle Bank. Lucky for you I love the earth anyway!

On a closing note, I must say, I CANNOT wait for my free CREATIVE Zen 1G MP3 player from Napster. I signed up like less than 4 hours after they posted the offer on Facebook. This one BETTER come, or I'm calling up Napster to "request the status of my sample!" As soon as it comes, if it comes, you all with be the first to know!

Philosophy's Eternal Grace (sample from QVC's facebook page) is not as wonderful as I had expected :(

Just got this Philosophy sample in the mail today (2-3 weeks QVC? Pffft!) Was so excited that I had considered calling QVC to check the status of my sample when it didn't come in the allotted time frame.

The package is so cute with it's mint green theme and their famous little girl standing next to the sample, but unfortunately, when I actually tried Eternal Grace, I was not enthused. The package describes the fragrance as having "bright citrus and delicate florals." That description is not exactly accurate... I would say the fragrance is ALL floral (not smelling the bright citrus) and kinda reminds me of my grandmother. (Sorry grandma :-D) With that said, I would not recommend this fragrance for the under 60 age group.

Sort of disappointed because I LOVE philosophy. Hopefully the Purity Facial Cleansing Cloth sample will be here soon and I will have better news to report!

Crystal Light Pure Fitness from Vocal Point & Woman's Day Mag

Also in the mail today was the cooooooolest little round box from Vocal Point. Inside the box were three free packets of Crystal Light's Pure Fitness (strawberry, Lemon Lime, and Grape.) The box also included three coupons for $2 off any Crystal Light Pure Fitness Drink Mix product.

I have been drinking crystal light for ages and have recently been drinking The hunger satisfaction packets. I'm sure these Pure Fitness packets will be just as great because they are from Crystal Light.

I haven't tried them yet, but will update you with my opinion. Did anyone else get this freebie? what do you think?

Yayyy!!!!! FINALLY won a Right at Home gift pack!

So I have been signing up every three months or so over at SC Johnson's Right @ Home and apparently was never one of the first 10,000 applicants. I had lost hope and didn't even sign up for the last gift pack, but then today, I saw the mailman walking up to my door with a huge box and I was like, "Ohhhhh! What is this?!" As I sat down on the couch to rip open the box, I didn't even look at who it was from. To my delight, it was a box full of full-sized SC Johnson products! Whooo hoooo!!!! Finally!

I am excited about using each and everyone of the products. You can never have enough Ziplock bags and the extra large water-proof bags are a major bonus! I'm sure that Heather (my clean freak of a partner) will absolutely love the pledge wipes and the scrubbing bubbles toilet cleaner. :-D However, I will admit that I am most excited about the Glade scented candle. It smells so good!

Lets just say, today was a good day for the sample queen ;)

UPDATE: So, I tried my beloved Glade Scented Candle. It smelled wonderful and was a great addition to my salsa party, but, it only burned for 4 hours before the wax was completely melted. For that quality I could buy scented candles at the dollar tree and be just fine.

Hello all and welcome to the freebie chronicles!

My name Is Lea, but most know me simply as The Sample Queen. This name was given to me by my partner, Heather, after watching me for countless months, scouring the internet for freebies. After my friends witnessed the mailman phenomenon a couple of times, the name just stuck.

I just can't help myself! With the help of some amazing freebie websites and blogs, I search the internet daily for product samples, giveaways, freebies,and the occasional instant win game. Watching the mail man walk up to my house with a handful of samples, just for me, is one of my most favorite times of the day. Its so fun to open all of the packages! The best part is, for someone that is on a budget like I am, its all FREE! Its like the high you get on a shopping spree without spending any money.

With that said, I will be using this blog to display and discuss freebies that I receive, as they come. I hope that this blog will also be a commonplace for others to post their free treasures.There are many many websites and blogs dedicated to listing internet freebies, however, I have yet to find a blog dedicated to celebrating them and the happy, fun feelings they bring. I would like The freebie Chronicles to be a place where freebie lovers can unite to share and discuss freebies they have received.

On a side note, this is my first blog EVER, so please be patient with me as I learn the in-s and out-s of being a blogger :) If you have any suggestions, please feel free to send them my way.
